A Letter to Our Stronger Together, Closer to God family.
Dear Family,
If you are reading this, thank you. Thank you for your patience, your prayers, and for still being here after the silence.
This isn’t a just a “we’re back” announcement – it’s a testimony. Because the story of our hiatus isn’t about absence; it’s about what God does in the unseen.
The Truth About Our Pause
We did not plan to step away. But in early 2022, life demanded it:
- Family Needs: My father recently passed away after seven years as my primary caregiver. During this time, my responsibilities shifted from caregiving to supporting my wife as we cared for her parents.
- Burnout: The demands of caregiving required significant time and emotional energy, leading to exhaustion.
- A Transition in Focus: Moving from a caregiving role back to my professional responsibilities.
- A Spiritual Reminder: I felt a clear prompting to pause and reflect, as expressed in Psalm 46:10 – “Be still before you speak again”.
The Lesson: Sometimes obedience looks like silence.
The Scripture That Sustained Us
One verse became our anchor:
But those hope in the Lord will renew their strength…
Isaiah 40:31, NIV
In the wilderness, we learned:
- Waiting isn’t wasting. God was refining, not rejecting.
- Rest is resistance. Against hustle culture, against empty words.
- God priorities takes precedence over man’s priorities.
Why we’re returning now?
This relaunch isn’t about us – it’s about you. God says it’s time to lift his people up and give them the encouragement that I am still here for you. Never left you or forsake you. Here’s what’s new.
- Fresh Focus: Episodes and blog posts about caregiving, what to do when you marriage is under attack, how to have faith in uncertainty.
- Consistency: New posts every week.
- Your Voice: More Q&As and listener stories (feel free to share requests in the comment section)
A Prayer for You
✝Lord, thank you for every individual reading this. Meet them in their own wilderness. Where they’re weary, give wings. Where they’re waiting, bring wisdom. And remind them – as You did for my wife and I- that no season is ever wasted in Your hands. Amen.
